Fucus is a perennial seaweed, also called “King Algae” because of its wide range of healing properties.

White Sea fucus stands out among other algae species for its high content of fucoidan. This unique biopolymer has the ability to thin the blood, and also exhibits antiviral and antibacterial activity.

Fucoidan helps to destroy altered cells that can cause inflammation of the stomach and intestines.

Fucus is a unique gift of the sea, containing many important elements for the human body: iodine, potassium, magnesium, calcium, iron, selenium and many others. It is rich in vitamins, amino acids and has valuable biologically active substances: salts of alginic acid, laminarin, fucoidans (these three components are dietary fiber), mannitol, fucoxanthin and polyphenolic compounds (antioxidants).

Fucoidans have a pronounced antiviral effect, protect the walls of the gastrointestinal tract from various damages, activate the immune system, reduce blood cholesterol levels, regulate sugar levels, have anticoagulant properties and can even cause self-destruction of altered cells.

Mannitol, found in fucus, can be very helpful in weakening intestinal peristalsis.

Iodine, a component of fucus, is necessary for the normal functioning of the thyroid gland, which regulates metabolic processes in the body.
